The Sequoyah Lady Indians were looking to get their 14th win of the season Tuesday night at home vs the Inola Lady Longhorns, but fell short in 5 sets, 2-3.

It was the third loss to the Lady Longhorns in four tries on the season for head coach Jay Herrin's squad.

Herrin said "It was a tough match, we didn't make enough plays to win it tonight."

Herrin said injuries played a key in the loss: "We have 2-3 bad ankles and knees, so hopefully we can get healthy."

This was the 4th meeting between the two teams, with the Indians winning in a tournament two weeks ago.

The set scores for the game were as follows, with Sequoyah listed first in each set:

25-23, 23-25, 25-16, 6-25, 12-15

Kaitelyn Turner had 29 assists, Jolie Morgan recorded 8 kills and 4 digs, meanwhile Joania Walker recorded 6 kills of her own with 5 blocks.

Coach Herrin remain optimistic about the Indians' next match Thursday night vs. Wagoner.
