Chelsea snapped a 14-game losing streak dating back to the 2015 season with an 8-6 win over host Foyil Friday night.

A two-point conversion separated the two schools just a stone’s throw away from each other Friday. When John Humler scored from 17 yards out one play after a botched Foyil punt snap. The ensuing two-point conversion, which was a wide receiver reverse pass from Koda Levan to a wide open Kody Honnegar, was the deciding play.

Foyil scored on a 14-yard pass from Lloyd McKnight to Stone Platt with 2:08 left, but the following conversion run was stopped short of the goal line.

Chelsea is 1-2 and Foyil is 1-1.

Catoosa improved to 2-0 stopped Collinsville twice at the goal line in the final moments to hold on to a 21-14 win. The Indians are now ranked No. 10 in Class 4A.

Oologah remaining undefeated with a solid 35-16 win at Skiatook. The Mustangs built a huge lead and cruised to the win.

Inola got back to the scoring business and laid a 70-42 beating on Salina. Inola is now 2-1.

Verdigris got its first win of the season with a 17-0 blanking at Miami Friday.

Claremore High once again dug itself a deep hole against Rogers, Ark. And for the second straight year, the Zebras made a valiant comeback, but fell just short in a 28-25 loss. Claremore is now 1-1.

Claremore Sequoyah lost its first game of the season, 26-15 to Fort Gibson. Sequoyah is now 2-1.

And despite Mason Mullins running for 363 yards on 21 carries and five touchdowns, the Claremore Christian Eagles fell at Medford 48-40 to drop to 0-2.
