The Inola Longhorns fell to the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs 55-12 in district 3A-7 action Friday night at Dennis Byrd Stadium.

Both teams will be on the road next week. Inola (2-4, 0-2) travels to Westville while Lincoln Christian (2-4, 1-2) faces Sperry in a non-district game.

Inola drew first blood exactly two minutes into the game, courtesy of a 42-yard touchdown run from Lance Jones. The two-point conversion was no good.

Lincoln Christian answered on its first drive.

The march ended on a 4-yard touchdown toss from Chase Ricke to Sam Brueggemann at the 6:28 mark of the first quarter.

The Bulldogs made it 14-6 just 41 seconds later when Ricke hooked up with Adler Isbell on a 10-yard scoring strike. That TD came three plays after the Longhorns lost a fumble at their own 33-yard line.

Lincoln Christian extended its advantage to 21-6 with 3:51 left in the first period when Micah Gardner returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown.

Dillon Hair punched one in from three yards out for the Bulldogs with 9:29 remaining in the second quarter. Ricke then capped the first half scoring on a 7-yard keeper, 1:11 before intermission.

Hair scored on a 1-yard run at the 9:09 mark of the third period on the opening possession of the second half. Inola answered just 48 seconds on a 6-yard keeper from Colton Oliver.

Lincoln Christian countered 71 seconds later when Ricke hooked up with Hair on a 48-yard touchdown connection.

Brendyn Harris then raced 45 yards for another Bulldog touchdown with 5:35 remaining in the third quarter.
